Holiday Closings

The Troy-Miami County Public Library will be closed December 24 through December 25 for Christmas, and December 31, 2014 & January 1, 2015 for the New Year holiday.

The outside book return will be open for the convenience of patrons who need to return checked-out materials to the library. Have a safe and happy holiday!

The Troy-Miami County Public Library is currently looking for a Circulation Associate (sub) for the circulation desk. The hours vary and will include nights and weekends. Please see the attached job description.

Christmas Wrapping Party

Christmas present.The staff, at the Pleasant Hill library, wants to help you relieve some of your holiday stress and help your community at the same time!

Bring in your presents and we will wrap them for you! For each present wrapped, we ask that you bring a non-perishable food item to go to the Newton Food Pantry. We ask that presents are less than 2 ft. wide or tall and weigh less than 5 lbs.

Looking for a special gift for someone on your shopping list?

Consider giving the gift of reading by donating to the library in honor of a loved one or friend.

For a donation of $20, the library will purchase a new children's or adult book (your choice) which will be added to the library's collection. Books can be personalized with a bookplate if requested. The library is a 501c3 and donations are tax-deductible. With your donation, please include your name and phone number and whether or not you want a bookplate on your item.

Give the Gift of Literacy

Dolly Partin's Imagination Library logo.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a free international book program for children ages birth to 5 years old. Children will receive age appropriate books in the mail each month until their 5th birthday.

For a donation of $125, you can fund a child’s reading for five years. That’s 60 books from birth to age 5 for only $125. Checks can be sent to the Troy-Miami County Public Library, attn. Imagination Library. Please put "Imagination Library" in the memo line. The library is a 501c3 so contributions are tax-deductible.

The Troy-Miami County Public Library is the Miami County Affiliate of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. The program is partially funded by the United Way of Troy, Piqua Area United Way, Tipp City Area United Way, The Troy Foundation, the Miami County Foundation, the Piqua Community Foundation, the Tipp City Foundation, and the Friends of the Library. The program is also funded by the generosity of a former Troy resident, now deceased, named Ada Pressman.

Checkmate Chess Club

Chess pieces graphicChallenge your friends or learn a new skill at the Checkmate Chess Club at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at the Troy library; you'll be amazed at how your game will improve.
