Are you looking to join a book club? The Troy-Miami County Library Book Club usually meets at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month; we read a variety of fiction and nonfiction titles.

The book we are reading and discussing for October is The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown, Pick up your copy at the Information Desk or call the library at 937-339-0502 ext.112 for more information.

The dramatic story of the American rowing team that stunned the world at Hitler's 1936 Berlin Olympics. The sons of loggers, shipyard workers, and farmers, the boys defeated elite rivals first from eastern and British universities and finally the German crew rowing for Adolf Hitler in the Olympic games in Berlin, 1936. The Boys in the Boat is an irresistible story about beating the odds and finding hope in the most desperate of time.
