Thursday, October 17, 2019 - 6:30pm to 7:30pm

Thursday, October 17 - 6:30 p.m.

Join Troy-Miami County Public Library and the Local History Library this month in celebrating Family History Month. We are hosting these three knowledgeable and interesting speakers. Come hear their stories and learn about the local resources available at the library to research your own Genealogy.

DNA testing is the future of genealogy, but sadly, we may not be prepared for the many ethical questions it brings to the forefront. Join Amie Bowser Tennant, professional genealogist, nationally known speaker, and international blogger to discuss case studies to consider the ethics and principles involved in who we test, what the results may unexpectedly reveal and other interesting scenarios. For adults. No registration is required.

Call the library at 937.339.0502 ext. 117for more information.

Other scheduled events include:

Ripped from the Headlines  - Thursday, October 10 | 6:30 p.m. (at the Local History Library)

and One German ImmigrantsStory - Thursday, October 24 | 6:30 p.m. ( at the Local History Library)
