A Troy-Miami County Public Library eCard is an account that Ohio residents can apply online if they are interested in an “online-only” relationship with the library. This gives patrons access to our electronic resources. This card is for Ohio residents ONLY.
eCards will not provide the patron with immediate access. Once the patron fills out the form available on our website, an email is generated and sent to the designated person at Pleasant Hill or Troy Main depending on which branch the patron chooses. The patron will then receive a return email with their library card number in it and can begin using it immediately.
A patron may apply for an eCard by completing an online form available on our website.
eCard accounts allow:
Access to databases.
Access to electronic resources (Overdrive, Hoopla, etc.).
Manage account and place holds in the online catalog.
Reserve a PC.
eCard does not allow for the checkout of physical materials. An eCard account will be deleted automatically after two (2) years of inactivity. The account can be used indefinitely as long as the patron logs in at least once every two (2) years. If an application for a card is submitted with an address that is not in Ohio, it will not be processed.
