Teen Services Associate
Troy-Miami County Public Library continues to grow and expand to provide services to our community!
We are looking for a part-time associate to work with pre-teens and teens. Duties include, but are not limited to planning, implementing, assisting, and evaluating library programs and services, which fulfill the diverse educational, recreational and personal needs of local teens. Additional duties include providing reference assistance, creating book displays and other artistic displays, and working public services desks.
Community Outreach, Senior Manager
We are looking for a community-minded individual to oversee the library’s outreach efforts in the community by maintaining effective relationships with community officials, leaders, organizations, media, the public, and the staff. This senior manager demonstrates the willingness and ability to serve as a leader and manager and possesses excellent interpersonal, customer service, and decision-making skills.
This is the second year for the One Book, Many Communities reading initiative for northern Miami Valley residents. Local libraries involved, including ours, invite you to read The Widows by Jess Montgomery and participate in the programs focused on themes from the book. You will find scheduled events for all locations in a booklet available at our library or on the One Book Many Communities Facebook page.
Troy- Miami County Public Library and the Oakes - Beitman Memorial Library in Pleasant Hill are closed December 24, 25, December 31, and January 1, 2020, for the holidays.
The Local History Library is closed Monday, December 23 through Wednesday, January 1, 2020. Services can be arranged by appointment only. Call 937.335.4082 for more information.
The Troy Bookmobile is off the road from Friday, December 20 through January 5, 2020.
Spring Session | March - April 2020
Registration for Baby & Me Laptimes, Toddler & Me Storytimes, Preschool Storytimes, and Family Storytimes will begin on Monday, March 2, 2020, at 9 a.m.
